Looking to entertain the kids this May half term?

Thumbs Up It’s Thursday returns on 30 May with a range of fun activities and offers, just for kids!

All Saints Church

Colour and Light

Create your own spectacular crafts including decorating kaleidoscopes and glass tealight holders, as well as making suncatchers and window decorations - all inspired by the beautiful stained glass windows at All Saints Church!

Take part in a discovery trail around the historic building.

11.30am-2.30pm, no booking required. Accompanied children only.

Butterfly Ball

Flutter over to Eden Walk for a Butterfly Ball. Design your own butterfly or mask, express yourself and transform from a cute caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly at the Face Painting Station. Say hello to the butterfly balloon modeller, and explore the Butterfly Life Cycle in an educational search. Once completed, hand it to the Blue Butterfly Lady and receive your reward (while stocks last).

International Youth Arts Festival & Cass Art

Draw your favourite fairy-tale for the giant Festival Beanstalk

Fee Fi Fo Fum! Explore Jack in the Beanstalk, and Tom Thumb. Help create the International Youth Arts Festival’s giant Festival Beanstalk, sprouting leaves with your favourite fairy-tales. Take part in this fun, creative workshop inspired by two fairy-tale favourites soon to be performed at IYAF 2019 in July.

Fairy Tale Fun

Chancing it!

Is your life a game of chance? What if art and design was a result of luck over choice? Visit Revital Cohen’s and Turr Van Balen’s dynamic new installation Luna Eclipse, Oasis Dream, at Stanley Picker Gallery and pose this question, before ‘rolling the dice’ to create a unique piece of artwork.

Learn all about iced-tea with the experts at T2’s tea school – try delicious types of caffeine-free tea, learn how to brew your own blends and all about the tools you’ll need to create the perfect iced beverage. From sparkling pomegranate delights to mixed fruity iced treats, the team will show you how to make tasty tea-based beverages at home. Each session lasts 30 minutes, and you’ll get to sample their delicious tea varieties.

Turk Launches

Free boat trips for kids

Free travel for children 2 to 11 on a round trip river cruise from Kingston to Hampton Court Palace. Depart Turk’s Pier, Thames Side, KT1 1PX at Kingston Bridge behind John Lewis cruising to Turk’s Pier, Hampton Court next to the Palace gates. The free trip is for a round trip or oneway only. If you would like to get off and explore Hampton Court Palace, you will need to buy a ticket for the return trip.
