Warrens Bakery, the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the World, has opened its newest store in Kingston upon Thames to the delight of local residents, commuters, shoppers and workers. A staggering 935 pasties were sold in the store’s first week, of which 338 were Warrens Bakery’s iconic medium steak pasties, as locals and visitors gain a taste for the premium craft bakery’s award-winning signature bakes.
Located on Fife Road, opposite the train station and only a short walk from the high street’s shops and famous Bentall Centre, The Worshipful the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor Thay Thayalan opened the bakery which has created 10 jobs for local residents. Perfect for commuters making their way to and from the train station, to mark the newly opened craft bakery, a Grand Opening Celebration Event is taking place in store from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 July.
During the celebration, visitors to the bakery will be able to enjoy a free hot or iced drink with any breakfast or lunch item, muffin or traybake purchased* exclusive to these three days only. With the recent heat wave, the range of iced drinks are the perfect way to cool down in the sunshine.
