Sunday 9th June 2019 will be a momentous day for Kingston’s wildlife, as it is given the biggest stage that Kingston has to offer and WILD Kingston will be a first of its kind event for our Royal Borough! Local wildlife conservation social enterprise Citizen Zoo are aiming to inspire hundreds of people to learn more about our amazing local wildlife and engage with conservation opportunities. Guests will experience a high tempo, exciting and educational show with a series of inspirational talks from national experts to local conservationists, who will introduce you to some of the fascinating creatures that also call Kingston home. The show will also see the premiere of a short film called ‘The Hogsmill’, narrated by the wonderful Griff Rhys Jones and filmed by Surbiton resident and BBC wildlife cameraman, Tom Hooker. In addition, Citizen Zoo are bringing together over 25 local community, voluntary and wildlife groups, to partake in the event.
