The Kingston Children's Literary Festival returns for a second year in October 2018 to entertain and inspire the growing imaginations of 3-8 year olds with a series of storytelling events, read by some of the UK's best-loved children's authors and illustrators themselves.
Opening the festival is Adam Hargreaves; best known for writing and illustrating the Mr Men and Little Miss books, since taking over from his father and Mr Men creator, Roger Hargreaves. The line up also features the 2018 Oscars Book Prize winner John Dougherty, children's favourite Ross Montgomery, World Book Day Illustrator of 2016 Sophy Henn and up and coming local writing duo, Doodles & Scribbles. Each 30 minute session will captivate children's bright young minds building excitement and interest in literature. Little ones will hear a reading from their favourite author, plus have the opportunity to get involved with a host of exciting activities such as illustrations, sing-alongs and craft activities.
The Literary Festival will once again be a ticketed event series with tickets ranging from just £2.50 to £4.50 per child, plus adults get to join in the fun for free! Each child will also receive a free Kingston Children's Literary Festival goody bag!
