20th March 2:00pm to 5:00pm

Market House, Kingston
Cost: £40

Love knitting but feel frustrated that your work lacks that professional finish?

This workshop will teach you a range of invaluable techniques, from mattress stitch seaming, picking up & knitting stitches, to creating button holes and learning how to block your work.

Please prepare and bring with you 5 x 10cm square swatches using a smooth double knit yarn – 3 in stocking stitch (RS row all knit stitches, WS row all purl stitches), and 2 in garter stitch (all rows in knit stitch). Please also bring a ball of smooth double knit yarn and a pair of 4mm needles (straight or circular), a tapestry/sewing up needle and a stitch holder.

Suitable for anyone with a basic level of knitting ability.

We’ll provide lots of tea, coffee and homemade cake to help your concentration!

The workshop will be led by expert knitter, designer and yarn consultant, Suzanne Strachan.

In the event that the class is unable to go ahead due to the ongoing covid-19 virus situation, we will of course offer all participants the option of an alternative date or refund.

‘fantastic course, very well taught, superb refreshments – will certainly be signing up for other courses’
