15th September 10:00am to 2:30pm

Location: West Elm

Bored of tapping away on your phone every day?

Why not come and learn a new hands on craft skill? Paper cutting is a great way to switch off, relax and meet new friends... and walk away with a special and unique creation of your own (or to give to someone you love).

This course is run over two weeks with sessions held on Saturdays at 10-14.30pm on 15 and 22 September 2018. The price is for all two workshops.

This workshop is ideal for beginners/intermediate, who are interested in learning how to do 3D paper modelling (known as Kirigami). Papercutting is a fast growing trend and a great way of creating designs to brighten up your home, create decorations for special occasions such as Christmas and weddings, or make personal gifts for friends and family.

During this nine hour workshop over two weeks you will learn how to do a 3D scene from paper from existing templates that I'll provide. You will learn various techniques which I'll talk you through step by step, and you will be encouraged to experiment with colours and textures using a selection of papers to create your piece. You will create your own artwork which you can then take home with you.

Your work can then be mounted into a frame box or glass dome and given as a present, or displayed in your own home. You will also learn how to create your own designs for future artworks.

Classes included in the ticket are
- 15 September 10-2.30pm
- 22 September 10-2.30pm

All materials will be provided and you will get to go home with one small but wonderful artwork ready to frame and hang on your wall. Classes are limited to seven spaces so please be quick if you would like to book.
