18 Months in Solitary

19 November 2021 - 28 February 2022

Local photographer Chris Arthur, featured in the Museum's recent exhibition 'National Treasures' joins them again with a new exhibition capturing life under lockdown.

Chris has selected images from a series he took on his iPhone. ‘‘Near Horizons: Fragments from the shrinking world of life under lockdown during the Covid pandemic’ reflect the universal experience of being confined to the domestic interior for months on end. The images show everyday life during the pandemic in close up, recalling its mundane and repetitive aspects as well as moments of beauty and revelation.
